Someone please recommend a good writing class to the author of this drivel masquerading as an article on rediff. I mean, how many times do we have to read that Saharashi Subroto Roy and Mulayam Singh Yadav are bosom buddies, Roy is loyal to his friends, blah, blah, blah? And whats with the one sentence paragraphs? Very amateurish journalism to say the least.

Are you a citizen of the world? Then get a World Passport. Of course there is no guarantee that you will get anywhere with it, as this poor sap found out. Digging a little more led me to this article in Slate. Anyway, I am issuing Moron visas to go with your World passport, it will allow you to go to many countries including Suckerland.

If you already miss Jerry Falwell, then here is an article with his most memorable quotes. The problem with feeling relieved when people like him finally call it a day is that you know there is hate-monger lurking in the shadows somewhere waiting to again lead the moronic masses.

No, KaPOOP.

Apparently cat-excreted coffee beans make the best coffee. Ugh!

We are finally back after a month long vacation to India. More details to follow, so come back for updates. In the meantime, here is something to gag on.

Yes it does. In India, at least. Sunil’s neice is in the 10th standard now and we watched her struggle with the suffocating routine that’s routine for all kids.

It’s summer holidays after 9th standard. Yay!!, or so you’d think. Oh nono - not Yay. Vacation is time to study. To go to tuition from 7am to 1pm without breakfast, carrying a load of text books. To come back exhausted and unlearned (concentration needs breaks), to lunch and sleep and then tackle the mound of homework. In the middle of homework, tell of tyrannical, inept teachers and giggle over it. Play is a luxury, so is leisure.

Yes yes, we all grew up this way and turned out fine. But there’s a better way, no? Otherwise why would children die for marks?

I feel old. To nip sexploitation of the bharatiya naari, the Indian govt. has decreed that women under 30 can’t work abroad as maids.  30+ isn’t desirable or what? (Link to article)

Seriously though - this is a big problem with Asian maids (sometimes even wives) abroad. It’s good to know that someone’s trying to fight it. The Phillipines has already taken similar measures to protect it’s women, so has Nepal.
